Abstract: One kind of end-user language is the authoring
        system. It provides the structure that enables you
        to link audio, video, graphics, and other multimedia
        capabilities together into a single presentation.
        Authoring system commands tend to be simple and
        English-like in character, and you don't need to be
        a programmer to use them. The author discusses how
        different authoring systems coordinate the various
        elements of a multimedia presentation and which
        capabilities are most important
