Abstract: The authors describe their experiences with the
        "ultimate test" of a CSCW system built according to
        the Scandinavian approach by evaluating its use
        several months after installation. Through a series
        of flashbacks of diary clips and analysis, they
        bring us through the design process, giving the
        reader insight as to what happened and why things
        were designed a certain way. The result of their
        ultimate test did more than show a system in active
        use, for it described several surprising work habits
        that had developed.
