Abstract: This paper highlight the theoretical assumptions
        behind the design of the University of Arizona's
        GroupSystem face to face meeting room and its
        workings.. Of particular importance is that
        GroupSystems has been well-studied; fifteen
        experimental and field studies are summarize and
        contrasted here. The authors then provide
        recommendations for developers of electronic meeting
        rooms based upon the lessons learnt.
